Sluggish on your Valentine's Day plans?

Well, everyone knows slugs are hermaphrodites, so we take care of ourselves on Valentine's Day with a delightful box of Chocolates from Kekau Chocolatiers or a stop by their fabulous Nib Desert and Wine Bar, Flowers from the outrageously creative Passion Flower , and perhaps taking in a show. Might I suggest the slugilicious Gaye Lee Russell's Valentine's Day evening at The Secret House Vineyards. Enjoy a fine evening of top-notch jazz and blues, exquisite cuisine and of course Patty's fine wines. For a sample of Lady Slugdiva's (aka Gaye Lee Russell) soulful tunes check out her Myspace website.
Who knows where this romantic evening with yourself might lead...

So proud to be an American SLUG

Who knew? Who knew the SLUG Queen would fall head over tail for one with so little time for slime...and yet Marie Slugtoinette must tell you, dear public, that she has been enchanted by the entire first family and the charm that they OOOOOZE! How excited will we be when their trail next winds it's way by our snug green valley? My slimy guts quiver at the thought! Until then we still each have the power to make a change. We finally each have a voice in our nation and our home community. To stay tuned to the national discussion and lend your voice check out the new www.whitehouse.gov website with it's cool yet classic graphics and daily blog entries and updates. You can get stuff off your chest and feel it's actually being heard. Weird.
But if it's an impact you want to make right here in Eugene you can start here by adding your voice to this blog. Have questions? Want answers? Have answers? Let the SLUG Queens help you out. Dear SLUG Queen...
I'll be so happy to hear from you.

Happy New Year! The SLUG Queen arrives on Facebook

It's finally here--2009--the year of change and tracing trails of slime.
I for one and thrilled to cast off the last year (or eight) and start fresh.
In keeping with starting something forward thinking --the SLUG Queen has made herself more available to you, her public, via the file sharing service Facebook. Now you can send a note, share photos or video, get involved, keep your distance, check event dates or just become a fan of the SLUG Queen with no obligation. If you are a member of Facebook already be sure to search "The SLUG Queen" fan page (and add yourself to declare your fondness), AND "The SLUG Queen" Group to join for interactive fun. Right now I am running a New Year's slug Haiku contest on the Facebook groups site. Enter your Haiku there and you may have your results published here on the society pages blog.
I look forward to your entries! Good Luck and Happy New Year.
